Term 2

My class performed act 1 scene 1 of Macbeth on Tuesday, 13 April 2010 . According to our teacher, our performance was a disaster. We had to re perform during the next Literature lesson which is on Thursday, 15th April 2010. On Thursday, we had react the Macbeth. I had taken some pictures on Tuesday.

week 9

Yesterday was the 9th week of school and our Literature lesson. Yesterday, our Literature teacher was on MC and a teacher teaches us for Literature for yesterday. Yesterday, we were given a worksheet on Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. The worksheet was about Romeo And Juliet.

Yesterday's lesson was thought by watching a few PowerPoint slides and completing the worksheet by getting the answers from the slides. During the lesson, the teacher, which i forgotten how to spell her name reminded us that we need to stay back after school For Literature remedial.

From yesterday's lesson, i would be ready for the common test on Tuesday(09/03/10).

Week six of Literature lasson.

Today was the sixth week of our Literature lesson. Today, we were given a worksheet about "The Merchant of Venice". The scene on the worksheet was an act when Shylock was asked questions by Portia. We were taught that Shylock has the right to take a pound of flesh from Antonio as Antonio was not able to return the money that was borrowed from Shylock but it does not mean that he should take pound of flesh from Antonio.

Out Literature teacher taught us today's lesson by letting us read the passage on the worksheet After that, Mr Chua gave us ten minutes to complete the worksheet individually. After ten minutes, Mr Chua asked us questions.He called out index numbers to answer his questions. He also gave us homework at the end of the lesson. From the homework worksheet, i learned that Shylock hated Antonio as Antonio used to call him misbeliever and cut-throat dog. Antonio even spit upon his Jewish Clothes.

From today's lesson, i can prepare myself for future Literature tests or exams. Today's lesson could also be applied to my personal life by not doing what Antonio had done to Shylock by insulting othre people just because that person is from another race or religion.

No school = No Literature

Today is the best day ever as there is no school; which means that there is no Literature for today. Unfortunately, today's lesson will be rescheduled to the 26 of Feb 2010. As there is no lesson for today, there is not much for me to say about what we do During Literature. So, i guess that is in for today's post.

Literature: Frienship

Today, our class had literature lesson with Mr Chua. The first thing we did was completing of the worksheet on Mercy. then, Mr Chua asked us to pass the worksheet to our lit rep, Hidayah. Then, Mr Chue asked us two questions: whois your best friend? and Why? As there is no time to what we were supposed to do in class, we were asked to do it as homework. We were to do a letter to our best friend no metter from which school or class as it dosen't have to be form Evergreen and the same class as us.

Literature: What Is Mercy?

Today, Mr Chua gave us a worksheet with the question: What Is Mercy. We had to complete the first page of the worksheet in pairs in 15 or 20 minute(i can't remember). After 15 or 20 minute, he told us to complete the next page of the worksheet. On the second page, it says "Mercy is a quality that is attributed to God, regardless of what religion one believes in". On this page we must write about what we think on how Gods of our own religious shows mercy respectively. Due to the lack of time, Mr Chua asked us to complete the second page at home as homework.

Literature as per normal

Yesterday, our class, 2 Thinking, had literature as per normal. First, Mr Chua, our Literature teacher talk to us about this Literature Learning Log. Then, he gave us back our Macbeth act 1 scene 1 illustration. Some students had to stay back after school due to the lack of effort in doing the illustration. I had to stay back after school too but not because i did not put in effort in my illustration but because i did not do my character traits that is given last week as homework. That's it for now. On last Friday,our class, 2 Thinking had literature lesson but Mr Chua, our literature teacher did not come to school as he was sick. A relief teacher who is also a lit teacher came to our class and teaches us Literature. On that day, i learnt about a famous play writer named William Shakespeare. We also learnt about a play called Macbeth.
